ImageChunker (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use ImageChunker.

Our Core Privacy Promise

ImageChunker processes all images locally on your Mac. We do not:

Upload your images to any server
Collect or transmit image data
Use cloud-based processing
Track your image processing activity

Your images never leave your device.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Image Data

All image processing happens entirely on your Mac
Your photos and images are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored externally
No image content is analyzed by remote servers or AI services
Processed chunks remain on your local file system

Personal Information

We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information through the app
We do not require account creation or login
We do not collect payment information (purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store)

Usage Analytics

We do not use any analytics SDKs
We do not track feature usage
We do not monitor processing statistics
We do not collect crash reports automatically

Information That May Be Collected

Mac App Store

If you download ImageChunker from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect certain information according to their privacy policy. This is handled entirely by Apple, and we do not receive personal identifying information from these transactions.

Support Requests

If you contact us for support via email, we will receive:

Your email address
The content of your message
Any attachments you choose to send

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.

Data Storage

Local Preferences

ImageChunker stores your preferences locally on your Mac using standard macOS mechanisms:

Window size and position
Export settings
Chunking configuration presets
Recently used folders

These preferences are stored in the app’s sandboxed container and are not accessible to other apps or transmitted externally.

Security-Scoped Bookmarks

To remember folder access permissions you’ve granted, we store security-scoped bookmarks. These are encrypted by macOS and only allow access to folders you’ve explicitly selected.

Finder Extension

The ImageChunker Finder Extension enables right-click chunking directly from Finder. The extension:

Only activates when you right-click on supported image files
Communicates only with the main ImageChunker app on your Mac
Does not transmit any data externally
Requires explicit user action to process any files

App Sandbox

ImageChunker runs in Apple’s App Sandbox, which provides additional privacy protections:

Limited file system access (only folders you explicitly grant)
No network access required for core functionality
Isolated from other applications
Cannot access data from other apps without permission

Children’s Privacy

ImageChunker does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app contains no features that require or encourage providing personal information.

Third-Party Services

ImageChunker does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. We do not use:

Analytics platforms
Advertising networks
Social media SDKs
Cloud storage services
Crash reporting tools

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of ImageChunker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
