Quick Start Guide
Section titled “Quick Start Guide”Welcome to ImageChunker! This guide will have you chunking images in under 2 minutes.
Step 1: Launch the App
Section titled “Step 1: Launch the App”Open ImageChunker from:
- Applications folder
- Spotlight (⌘ + Space, type “ImageChunker”)
- Launchpad
Step 2: Add an Image
Section titled “Step 2: Add an Image”You have several options:
Drag and Drop
Section titled “Drag and Drop”Simply drag any image from Finder onto the ImageChunker window.
File Menu
Section titled “File Menu”Go to File → Open (⌘O) and select your image.
Finder Extension
Section titled “Finder Extension”Right-click an image in Finder → Chunk with ImageChunker
Step 3: Configure Chunking
Section titled “Step 3: Configure Chunking”Choose your chunking method:

| Smart | Most images | AI-powered content-aware splitting |
| Regular | Uniform content | Fixed-size grid splitting |
Settings
Section titled “Settings”- Chunk Size: Target dimensions for each chunk (e.g., 1080×1080 for Instagram)
- Overlap: Pixels of overlap between chunks (0 for clean cuts)
- Quality: JPEG compression level (85-95% recommended)
Step 4: Preview
Section titled “Step 4: Preview”Before exporting, review your chunks in the preview panel:
- Click any chunk to select it
- Use arrow keys to navigate between chunks
- Check for awkward cuts or content breaks
Step 5: Export
Section titled “Step 5: Export”Click Export (⌘E) or use the toolbar button.
Choose your settings:
- Format: PNG (lossless), JPEG (smaller), HEIC (Apple format)
- Naming: Automatic sequential numbering
- Location: Where to save the chunks
You’re Done!
Section titled “You’re Done!”Your chunks are ready to use. They’re numbered sequentially, so uploading to Instagram or other platforms in order is easy.
