Export Options

ImageChunker offers flexible export options to suit any workflow.

  • Type: Lossless compression
  • Best for: Screenshots, graphics, text-heavy images
  • File size: Larger
  • Quality: Perfect pixel preservation
  • Type: Lossy compression
  • Best for: Photos, gradients, web use
  • File size: Smaller
  • Quality: Configurable (1-100%)

  • Type: High Efficiency Image Codec
  • Best for: Apple devices, Photos app
  • File size: Smallest
  • Quality: Excellent at lower file sizes

Note: Limited compatibility outside Apple ecosystem.

Export all chunks as a single PDF document:

  • Layout: Grid of chunks on pages
  • Use case: Printing, preview, sharing
  • Metadata: Includes chunk numbers and dimensions

Creates a folder for each image’s chunks:

Choose any folder for output:

  • Prompt each time
  • Remember last location
  • Set default folder in Settings

Slider from 1-100%:

  • 1-50%: Visible artifacts, very small files
  • 50-75%: Noticeable compression, small files
  • 75-90%: Slight artifacts, balanced
  • 90-100%: Near-lossless, larger files
  • Preserve original: Keep source color profile
  • Convert to sRGB: Best for web compatibility
  • Remove profile: Smallest file size

Control what metadata is included:

  • EXIF data: Camera settings, date, GPS
  • Color profile: ICC profile data
  • Copyright: Your copyright information

Options:

  • Preserve all: Keep original metadata
  • Strip all: Remove all metadata (smallest)
  • Strip GPS only: Privacy-focused
  • 100% (Original): No scaling applied
  • 50%, 25%: Reduce output size
  • Custom %: Any scale factor

Limit output to specific dimensions:

  • No limit: Original resolution
  • Max width: Scale to fit width
  • Max height: Scale to fit height
  • Max both: Scale to fit within box

Set output resolution:

  • 72 DPI: Screen/web use
  • 150 DPI: General print
  • 300 DPI: High-quality print

Save your favorite export configurations:

  1. Configure all export settings
  2. Click Save as Preset
  3. Name your preset

  • Settings → Export → Presets
  • Rename, duplicate, or delete presets
  • Set default preset for new sessions

When exporting multiple images:

Apply same settings to all:

  • Single output folder
  • Uniform naming pattern
  • Same format and quality

Allow individual configuration:

  • Different output folders
  • Custom names per image
  • Mixed formats

When files already exist:

  • Ask: Prompt for each conflict
  • Overwrite: Replace existing files
  • Skip: Keep existing, skip new
  • Rename: Add suffix to new files
